What is snark, besides a shortened version of "snide remark"?
Snark is the "packing peanuts" of the internet: it's insubstantial, it takes up a lot of room, it flies all over the place, and it crams itself into the gaps between pieces of more weighty information.
Snark often feeds upon--and is a response to--more sincere and creative forms of expression. You're sure to find it infecting most amateur critics.
Snark is the parasitic form of intellectual laziness.
